Our Chairman Michael Sung was invited to speak as a panelist on "Global Fintech Landscape" at "The Global Tech Talk" on October 4th, 2023, at SCBx Next Tech, Siam Paragon The panel, moderated by Mr. Chonladet Khemarattana, President of the Thai Fintech Association, and joined by Ms. Boonyarat Kittivorawut, Country Director of Economy and Sustainable Development at the British Embassy Bangkok, Mr. Reuben Lim, CEO of the Singapore Fintech Association, Mr. Thanawat Lertwattanarak, CEO of J Ventures Co., Ltd., Mr. Derrick Loi, General Manager of International Business, The Digital Technology Business Group of Ant Group.

They engaged in an inspiring conversation, delving into global fintech trends and exploring the immense potential that Thailand holds within the fintech industry. Thailand's rapid growth in fintech is bolstered by favorable government policies such as Thailand 4.0, a tech-savvy youth demographic, a comprehensive Digital Asset Framework, and private sector initiatives like "RealX" (https://realxtoken.finance/en) - a recent Real Estate Tokenization by Origin Property, Bitkub, Real Estate Exponential, and Token X. At HorizenDigital, we strongly believe that Thailand is set to play a pivotal role in the Digital Asset and Blockchain space in Southeast Asia.

Prof. Sung is also the founding Director of the Institute of Digital Finance Innovation at the Zhejiang University International Business School. As a representative of China’s Digital Finance (and Digital Asset) ecosystem, Prof. Sung seeks to deepen the relationship and foster collaboration between the China and Thailand Digital Finance ecosystems, building on initiatives such as the Project mCDBC Bridge to catalyze innovation in building the digital economies of the future.
